Bingham Day Nursery occupies an attractive old cottage property, with self-contained baby annex, in the centre of the conservation area of the market town of Bingham. Being just a few hundred metres from the centre of the town, we make regular use of the wide range of resources on offer. Trips to the library, market place, recreation grounds, community groups and also the fire station, which we are situated directly opposite, always prove popular.
The Nursery opened its doors on the 28th April 1980, originally with a license to hold up to a maximum of 18 children, however the buildings have been totally revamped over the years and extended to accommodate the increasing community.
As well as the main Nursery buildings the site benefits from a separate Pre-school section, helping both children and parents/carers to make an easy and enjoyable transition into mainstream education.
Woodland Activity Centre
Our exclusive woodland activity centre provides the children with a unique opportunity to explore their natural environment on a daily basis. Learning activities support the renowned forest schools principles; receiving worldwide interest as a means of combating nature deficit disorder, witnessed with the increased use of computer technology. The new facilities will encourage children to care for our natural world, with the ultimate aim of promoting the sustainability of our planet.
